Wednesday marked the 10-year anniversary of the day when a shooter entered Sandy Hook elementary and murdered 20 1st graders and 6 teachers.
The fact that we have allowed time to pass this long without any sensical restrictions on gun purchases is a black eye to America and we should feel guilt. It's not too late to right the ship. We don't need to add another Sandy Hook, Uvalde, Parkland, or Columbine to the list of tragedies. We can make change now by passing gun-laws that keep guns, especially high powered ones, out of the hands of criminals.
Sandy Hook was a day, like Pearl Harbor, that will live in infamy. With that being said, it is sickening that there is a party that will use the horrendous act of murdering 1st graders to push forward a political agenda. We should show some respect to the families impacted and keep our politics out of it.
